Leading business magazine The Economist has announced ‘Investing in the UAE: Assessing the opportunities for Ras Al Khaimah', a conference at The Dorchester, London on 7 March.

New flight connection with India

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has signed an agreement with India to begin air services between the country and the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

According to the memorandum of understanding, seven daily flights will operate. The introduction of a second Indian destination and an increase in the frequency of flights were agreed as objectives for future meeting.

Port project gets green light

The Ras Al Khaimah government has announced that work will start next month on a $95m harbour for the Hulayla Industrial Park.

The two-year project involves building a 2.5 kilometre water channel dredged to a depth of 7 metres. A 5 kilometre quay wall will be set around the perimeter of the port basin and low-lying areas will be reclaimed for new businesses.
